Everybody's Elite are proudly able to announce that we will be supporting Catford CC Equipe Banks at the Rutland-Melton Cicle Classic on Sunday 26th April. Catford CC Equipe Banks are an under-23 team based in the Bromley and Sevenoaks area of the country. The team which was founded in 2013 is one of only 10 UK teams registered by British Cycling as an Elite National Team. It will be our 3rd year supporting teams at the Rutland-Melton Cicle Classic. This race is our personal favourite race in the UK calendar.
'The Rutland–Melton International CiCLE Classic is a road bicycle race that starts in Oakham and finishes in Melton Mowbray. The 2008 version was 158 km long. The race is characterised by its off-road sections and short, sharp climbs on narrow and treacherous farm tracks – taking its inspiration from the Paris–Roubaix and Tour of Flanders. Originally part of the British Premier Calendar, from 2008 it is a 1.2 event on the UCI Europe Tour.' Photos taken By Steve Airey at the Stafford Kermesse - August 2014

Pictured Above from Left to Right: Geoffrey (From Charnwood Medical Group Patient Board), Katie Godwin, Paul Godwin and MP Nicky Morgan. I'm sat here writing this whilst sat waiting for my pick up; ready to start the next 11 days. I'm about to head on out to Groningen in North Holland as the Team Soigneur for Starley Primal Pro Cycling Women's Team who are competing in the Energiewacht Tour 2014. The Energiewacht Tour is an elite women's annual multiple stage road bike race held in the province Groningen in the Netherlands.
Cracking day at the first international race of the season @ rutland-melton cicle race. A 183.4km race over different terrains and 5 main climb areas. A great time was had by both Paul and I; being the soigneur and providing sports massage, nutrition and care of riders.
Whilst studying at Loughborough college, and training to become sports massage therapists, we are both lucky enough to be given the opportunity to shadow MG-Maxifuel's team soigneur and provide sports massage to the riders at various events in the calendar.
We headed to MG's headquarters in Birmingham, where the team was announced to the press and TV crew's. Here, we got to meet the team for the first time and the team cars were revealed. Paul and I are very much looking forward to gaining experience with the cycling team and are very grateful for the opportunity given to us. Thank you MG-Maxifuel! Katie |
